About The Instructor

  • Therese Engelhardt is a devout Catholic who deeply loves her Faith, her family and music.

  • She began playing the piano at the age of 7.

  • Therese has been teaching piano for more than thirty years.

  • She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education at St. Vincent College in 1995, graduating Magna cum Laude

  • Therese furthered her music study when she attended the Taubmann Institute of Piano learning injury-preventative piano technique

  • She was a student of Sheila Paige and Jacqueline Herbein.

  • Therese recently earned her Master of Arts degree in Dogmatic Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary, graduating Cum Laude in 2021.

  • Therese has worked with students of all ages; those who are typical learners and those with special-needs.

  • To serve students better, she is adding the Music Moves for Piano curriculum to her teaching repertory.

  • Therese has been married to her husband Kurt Engelhardt for 25 years and they have three children.

  • The Engelhardt household is home to two black cats, Violet and Ollie.
